We received an update on Claire. No new pictures (extra, extra long sigh), just a tiny morsel of information ...
At 13 months:
Weight 16.5 pounds (below the 3rd percentile)
Height 26 inches (below the 3rd percentile)
6 teeth
"She is doing well."
We ache for our teeny, tiny little daughter. Four years, friends. We have waited for over four years since application. This part of the wait is not for the faint of heart. Still, we are grateful that she is ours, and that, "She is doing well."
For the vision is yet for an appointed time,

Everyone told me that this part of the wait would be the hardest...once you see there sweet faces...but I didn't really believe them. The four years was pretty darn hard! However, now that I have seen her sweet face...this is hard, very hard! Praying for you and your precious baby who is doing well!

It's always nice to get any news about our little ones in China but it also makes the waiting that much harder. You'd think we would all be pros at this by now after 4 years, but until we're holding them it doesn't get any easier. Praying that you are holding little Claire soon!

oh rebecca, this part of the wait was absolutely excruciating for me. i feel for you! Claire has lots of the same stats as evie! evie was 26 inches and 15 lbs when she came home. she is also 13 mo old. she has grown so much now. it's unbelievable. you are going to be shocked at how quickly she starts growing when she gets home. it's really remarkable. hang in there friend!

What a little beauty!!!! I know the wait must be crawling even slower now ... but you have her little face to hold on to and the knowledge that in a few short months she will be in your arms forever! Can't wait to follow your journey!
