Hitting the Field

A new teammate hit the soccer field this past season.   



 He had no clue what was happening, but he smiled the whole time!

 

 His coaches were the best with our little silent one, always giving him a chance to get it on the action.

 So fun to hit the field with this little guy.  He loved every minute!

Kickin' It

Dear Claire,

 

Alright, alright.  We guess you can be a big girl. 

Shin pads and a jersey make it official.

We are proud of you, little one. 

 There is just something about seeing you go from the sidelines to your first team. 

We'll admit, you and "The Lightening Bugs" have some rules to learn and some technique to polish.

Those things will come.  For now, we say soak up soccer Saturdays, water breaks, cheering mommas, chilly practices on fall nights, "kicking around" with daddy and taking new ground in this life. 

So keep kicking, my girl.  You got this.

Soccer Saturdays

If it is Saturday, you can find us on the soccer field.

Sophie is in her second season and we've enjoyed sunny mornings cheering her on.

Sometimes she gets into the game,

but most of the time she smiles and picks grass. 

One of her biggest fans is always on the sidelines ready for a giggle break. 

 

Giving this sport a try has given us some fun Saturdays on the fields!  Next stop?  Kicked up gymnastics. 

Gaming One Last Time

So the soccer ended with one last game. 

Such a fun season we had. 

Fears were overcome.

Standing frozen turned into learning skills.

Confidence was gained and parents became proud. 

Bonds strengthened, hands shaken and snacks distributed. 

Thanks, soccer. We had lots of fun.

We'll throw on another jersey in the spring.


But for now, welcome back Saturdays.

Soccer Celebration

As their teams were announced,
each little team came running through the crowd.

The crowd went wild as each athlete's name was announced. 

Confidence, skills, patience, teamwork, effort and following directions. 

This season was packed with those lessons and more. 

Playing with buddies and cousins was all kinds of good fun. 

They cheered us on and we cheered them on. 

And the trophies ain't bad either.

Soccer is here, baby!

The littles' first soccer game was

HA-LAR-IOUS!

It is all about progression though,

and our girl made some!

These three little kickers are team
Tiger's female contingent. 

Let's just say that there was a whole-lotta

giggling, chatting and hugging going on the field.   

 

Daddio is happily playing the role of

soccer tutor and cheerleader. 

The sidelines were rich with shenangians. 

An extra fun bonus to our season is that
Ceci and Ben play in the same league,
and Cecila's game was right after hours! 

Loved Saturdaying on the soccer field with some

of our most favorite peope!

Goal Oriented

She Hammed it up on the soccer field, and ended the season

and has a shiny medal to show for it!

Four four year old girls equalled a super fun season.
