'Nastics

We love giving our little people new opportunities to learn, grow, and exercise!  We needed to keep it super simple this past season, so we did a low key community center gymnastics class with both girls and their cousins. It was a whole lotta tumbling, flipping, bouncing, balancing and giggling.

So proud of our girls!

Balance, Tumble, and Stand on Your Hands

photo gymnastics5_zpsc28362b7.jpgWe love to see these little people pushing, growing and taking new ground in this thing called life.  Their latest?
Gymnastics.

While Grandma was here, we got to watch the girls each show off their mad gym skills.   They balanced across a beam, flipped on bars, did handstands, crawl across bars like bears and somersaulted while we hooped, hollered and clapped.

Super sweet for Claire was that she got to do the whole thing with her bestie.

Sophie normally does a total freeze in front of an audience,
but she tumbled with a fat smile!

Gym Dreams Come True

Dreams are coming true for two little Olympic hopefuls.
After going to a bunch of gymnastics birthday parties in 2012,
the promise was made that we'd sign them up!  Since we are newbies, the local parks and recreation classes work for us.  After talking about it 337 times throughout December, January came and so did gymnastics classes.

Sophia and I did a mommy and me class a couple years ago, but this was Sha Sha's first time in the gym.  She beamed the whole time.  Tumbling around with her best bud, Molly, adds to the fun!

Sophia was extra pumped to get to wear her leotard from Grandma!

Balance beams, tumble mats, parachutes and trampolines.  Yes, please.
