Quackers

I love little people.

Love teaching them about the past.

Love giving them the gift of an afternoon in nature.
Love to see them be brave.

Love to see them experience the simple, magical moments in life.

Love to see their blooming personalities.
One wise, ultra responsible, silly, tender hearted and timid.
One easy going, fearless, obedient, gentle, and joyful.

Love that one happily and endlessly follows the leader.
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands.  ~Douglas Adams

Wait.  Or were they geese?  Think they both quack.

Tonic of Wilderness

Photobucket
Seasons change and I am suprised each time
that each has its own beauty.
Photobucket
Could fallen leaves really be as lovely as the blazing orange and reds of early autumn?  Turns out that if you are willing, and if you look closely enough, there is beauty in the next season.
Photobucket
May our daughters see it too.
Photobucket
Life is just so...much.
Photobucket
It requires us to seek out the "tonic of the wilderness".
Photobucket
And so we seek out trails in every season.
