Northern Trails, New York IV

We are most at home and most happy as a family when we are out on the trails. So while we were in NY, we decided to hit throw on the hiking sessions and GET OUT (plus we had all that pizza to burn off). Thanks to the advice of our niece Alexis, we found a trail that we/Mark had never been on that was minutes from where he grew up. It ended up being one of the prettier trails that we have ever been on.

From the beginning, the mini hiker knew this was a special trail. The trail meandered around a beautiful creek with waterfalls and a stone bridge. All that beauty, combined with crisp weather and crunchy leaves under our feet, made for a perfect fall day.

It is so fun to watch our little lady explore. She notices little details and finds such joy in little things.

A highlight for her was finding a stone "stage" to do some booty shakin' on. This particular move has some karate flair...
Inspired by the perfect stage, Mark had to shake it a bit!

"Climb the mountains and get their good tidings.
Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.
The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."
~John Muir
