Dr. Tea

Our last stop on our tour yesterday was to "Dr. Tea". We enjoyed learning about tea, and tasting four different varieties. It was a nice end to a fun and tiring day.

We were beyond exhausted when we got back to our hotel room, and must admit that we ate Pizza Hut for dinner. Our "When in Rome" philosophy was thrown out the window! We did eat two very authentic Chinese meals for breakfast and lunch, so please don't harass us too much!

I fell fast asleep at 8:00, and Mark had to wake me up at 9:00 for our Skype date with Sophie and Grandma. Mark then had a nice long night's rest, but I woke up at 3:30 on pure adrenaline. I was able to write several pages in our journal, which we know will be important for Claire someday.

We are off for another delicious fried rice and dumplings breakfast, and another full day of touring Beijing. TWO more days until Claire day!

Much love to all. Thanks for emailing, commenting and Skyping us! It is very encouraging. Someday we'll make this into a book for Claire, including your sweet comments.

Only two more days until you get to see and hold Claire. Its hard to believe that the day is almost here. Keep the pictures coming as it makes us feel like we are a little part of the experience.

Thanks for taking us all along with you on your trip. I am LOVING it!! Looks like you guys are falling more in love with China everyday. I may have to keep the lists fresh for you when you get back ;)

Amazing country, amazing people, and of course amazing babies are found there.

Sounds like a fun day.... you are much more adventurous than we were... I think the first day in Hong Kong, we spent sleeping and recovering ALOT. I am enjoying following along on your journey... I can totally understand and remember the 3AM WAKE UP! For us, it seemed to happen for the first 3-4 days... praying you'll soon sleep during the time everyone else sleeps... but I guess it DID help you with getting some journaling done :) Blessings!

No judgement on the "when in Rome" commentary! I ate at McDonald's SIX times in GZ! :) and I am a big "when in Rome" type person myself! BTW, we found the McD's more delish than in America, just in case... ;)
Can't wait for Claire Day!

So great to see you having such a good time. You'll have wonderful memories to share with Claire some day of your journey to the land of her fathers..... and the trip to bring her to the land of her forever family. If Claire is reading this some day I certainly want her to know that she has sooo many people who are excited to meet her and then love her forever :-)

Love you! Janie

Love the pictures! I laughed out loud when I read your "When in Rome" part. We had been in Chengdu for a week before we went to...yep, Pizza Hut!
