Celebrating in Stillness

While in KY last summer, my girl and I spent a quiet day at a local monastery.  It is a simple place, surrounded by fields of grass and corn.  The only sounds are the sounds of cathedral bells.

Yesterday, we headed back to soak up some more solitude.  It was the perfect place to be grateful for our LOA.
We spent time crouching down to look more closely,
at butterflies, flowers, clover and bumblebees.
We were reminded how simple beautiful can be.
As we sat in these chairs once again, we thought back through all that this past year has brought.   My how we have grown.
As much as we are excited about the future, we love the now.

"In solitude, where we are least alone." -Lord Byron

wow, it's amazing how you can see the growth in Sophie since last year. What an amazing place the monastery seems... and what an amazing memory you are making with your sweet girl. Looking forward to next year's post with Claire being added and a possible 3rd child nearby.... Blessings.

Congrats, I'm so happy it's coming!! Love the shots of Sophia in that beautiful place, too. Oh, and the quilt is lovely and I think I sent you the purses fabric?? :)
