NIce to see ya again, Guangzhou!

It is homestretch time!  After some more planes, trains and automobiles, we've landed in Guangzhou!  Sheesh, has this been the adventure.  Truth is, we might just love it.  All except the airplane diaper blowouts and waiting at gates.  It's looking like Evie might have just been happy to head to Guangzhou as well.  See that hint of a smile?  We feel the same way, baby girl.  Gotta be in a traveler on this team.  Looks like you'll fit in just fine.

Checking into the beautiful Garden Hotel feels like rounding third base!  Flat Claire was thrilled too!  It was so fun to reflect on being at this hotel with our sweet Claire Bear a few years ago.  We remember her loving being on the move, going up and down the escalator and toddling around in the halls.  It definitely made us miss our girl even more.  The Garden kicked it up a notch this time with little backpacks filled with gifts for the littles.
Our first city stop was the lovely Guangdong Travel Health Center for medicals and passport photos.  Fun times, people, fun times.  Evie cried SO hard while getting her passport photo!  Her photo is one for the memory books. The Chinese photographer was less than amused.
Eli and Evie had four offices to visit and Eli was all smiles until the behind closed doors blood draw/TB test.  The poor little guy screamed his little head off.
The bonus of medical exams is the celebratory lollipop!  And Evie, might just have come to life, just a wee little bit!

Great pics! Sorry the kids had to go through that tough time, but it is all going to be worth it. Can't wait for you all to get home and start to settle in. You're right, saw a little hint of an Evie smile. Pretty soon her smile will be ear to ear! Love you all - continued safe travels - almost home! Yay!!!
