These two ladies are kindred spirits, two of my favorite women. They have mastered the art of friendship, and are always encouraging, always loving, always humble servants, always listening before speaking, always celebrating and are very, very real.
Despite my arguments against, they were determined to celebrate Evie and Eli. Trish invited a small group of friends to her home for a sweet afternoon.
My favorite thing about this time was being in a room with some of my favorite women. Second favorite, was the effort to keep it simple...focused on relationships. An open house dessert, special yet not fussy. It has taken my recovering perfectionist self years to learn this.
The girls were so excited to be included in a special party for women,
complete with girly emotions!
Angela, Trish and her girls spent lots of time making desserts and prayer cards, and I am so grateful for their abundant & continuous encouragement.
These two had a grand time!
We left with some fun gifts and keepsakes for our two waiting littles.

But then all was right with the world, and we were back to being us. Ready for a girls' day. Life is never perfect, right?

Loved celebrating with you! It really was a room full of special, inspiring ladies. Thankful for your friendship! Just read the book to Laney last night that you got for her on our Match Day back in '07. We've made some sweet memories celebrating God's gifts haven't we? :-)
