Family Christmas

After all the holiday bustle, and before hitting the highway for New York,

we had a sweet family Christmas evening.  We cooked up our favorite dinner, turned the holiday tunes up, and dropped some marshmallows into mugs of cocoa.

Mark and I exchanged our gifts and the girls opened a few gifts from us, and an extra proud Claire gave us the gift she made at preschool.

The sweet spot of the night was when the girls exchanged the gifts that they had bought from each other out of their piggy bank money.  Each had picked out a gift for the other several weeks before, so the waiting to give built all kinds of fun anticipation.  Loved how they knew just how to please each other. 

 

All was calm, all was bright. 

Oh how I love this little family of ours.
