Baby in a Manger

Who needs a playroom when you've got one of these?

Every year, for the month of December, the girls play non-stop with the Nativity set.  They have a toy one as well, but this one is the primo choice. 

Add to that, the Jesse Tree, and the watching of this DVD perfection (approximately 72 times per season).

And, the girls get a Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus obsession going on.  It is not uncommon to find at least one child in Mary's blue head covering,

and baby Jesus in a shopping cart manger. 

Usually, they hit us up to play the role of wise men bearing gold, frankincense and myrrh.  Also involved is a long donkey ride, the holding of a belly, a star, and animals that look on as shepards come for a visit. 

 

Advent, I love you.  May you continue to settle into little and big hearts.
