Reality

A couple weeks ago, I ran into someone who checks in on our blog occasionally.  She made the comment that my blog makes it look as though our team is always happy and together. 

 

I choked on my gum, then let out an awkwardly long laugh.  I reminded her that this blog is snapshot of our lives from one lens. 
A scrapbook if you will.    

 

The reality?

 

~I burn rolls and yell sometimes at the littles. 

~A mountain of unfolded laundry usually resides on our living room floor.

~I judge more than I care to admit.

~A couple of our library books are overdue.

~The girls' clothes have Target and Old Navy labels.

~A certain 5 year old has been known to walk up to the dinner table and say, "Yuck."

~I'm often too tired at 5:30 to give Mark the attention he deserves.

~I've been known to catch myself grumbling when doing a service project.

~Sisters love each other AND fuss with each other. 

~I frequently take long, hot baths with the door locked.
~Mark and I argue most about where to go for dinner. 

~I wish I enjoyed attention less than I do.

~Our house has been for sale for way too long
and showings are getting old.   

~Our windows have never been washed. 

~Checking texts & email is an addiction that I'd like to kick in the booty.

~The girls get grumpy, whiny and needy. 
They are not perfectly behaved or perfectly dressed. 

~A stash of dark chocolate is necessary. 

~The dinner menu is usually decided at about 5PM. 

 

There ya have it.  A balanced blog.

Gratefully, my family and friends give out heavy doses of grace.
