Double-Sided Blessing

Olupot has been a part of our family through
Compassion sponsorship

for about four years. 

His life is vastly different than ours. 

His homeland is many miles from ours.

His experiences unlike ours. 

Yet when his letters and drawings arrive from Uganda,

the distance diminishes. 

 

His photo is on our fridge,

and his name on our hearts. 

 

Our hope is that his sponsorship would

provide him with some of the education, provisions

and hope that he'll need. 

 

When his letters arrive,

we marvel that he has touched the same paper that

we hold.  His thoughts and his creativity in our hands. 

 

When we read his letters,

the world gets a bit smaller.

 

He says that he is praying for us,

so we are reminded to pray for him. 

 

Each month, we respond with updates, verses,

words of encouragement and drawings.
