In the world of adoption, airport homecomings are special.
There is just nothing like seeing a family arrive, excited but
weary from travel, the intense emotions, and the long battle to bring their child home. In that moment, home has such new meaning.
As a waiting family, we must admit that showing up is a bit selfish.
Seeing a family's journey end its waiting phase is fuel to keep waiting, keep fighting and keep believing. A reminder that one day we'll step off a plane as well, a family of five.

| We had the privilege last week to welcome home a special family who faithfully endured the China wait. Their story is one of faith, hope, grief, love and beauty. |

| Our girls have been praying for their girls, so they were excited to see those prayers answered. Even duck didn't want to miss out. |
Such a rush for this adoptive momma,
and such a thing of beauty for our girls to see.

Every time I climb that long escalator at the ATL airport, my heart swells as I remember that climb with Maggie in my arms. There is nothing like it. Congrats to your friends for making "the climb" and reaching the peak. Jessica
I totally agree! I have pictures of us in those same exact spots...and I've taken pictures of others coming home there as well. There's just something about it! Hope things speed up for you guys soon!
