I hope they get bored, over and over again.
I hope they have long stretches of time to play, dream, imagine and entertain themselves.
I hope they have mornings without structure and afternoons without plans.
I hope they have more Play-Doh and crayons and less TV.
I hope their momma who loves to go, be and do can keep reminding herself of this. |

Back at you, Sister!
Oh, Rebecca, you hit the nail on the head! What I wouldn't give to have bored kids hanging around my house, maybe even bored, fighting kids......well let's just stick with bored! Last Monday, Abby was outside playing with friends, I took a long, leisurely bath and then went walking down my upstairs hall, looking at all the empty bedrooms and the unused bathroom, wondering where the time has gone. Looking forward to seeing you next weekend!
Good morning,
I have been moved time and again by your creativity!! I was wondering, if you get a moment, would you mind sharing with your blog readers where or what site you used to create your daughters beautiful life books.
I have become energized to work diligently on these for my children! They love hearing about who, where, why, how:) Sadly, my youngest daughter pulled out her little book I made for her in kindergarten!! Somehow it did NOT look like the beautiful books you have created!!
Thank you in advance, your family is a JOY!
Play-Doh and crayons...I couldn't think of a better afternoon.
I love your post~ I have been reading Organized Simplicity (free on Kindle yesterday) and that is exactly what she was writing about~ not over scheduling your kids. I was so thankful we don't have our days full of stuff~ crayons and playdough for us too!!! XOXO Will we see you all tomorrow???
Sometimes it is so hard to find a balance of going and down time. But I am definitely trying to work on it!
It was so good to see you today!
