The botanical gardens called to us all summer,
but we never found ourselves there.
Now, as we live out these last days of summer and transition into our "homeschooling" fall, the time was finally right.
(The half price mornings had a little something to do with it as well!)
What better way to learn about nature than to walk through it?

I love how the girls lose themselves in a garden,
submitting themselves to sunshine, stepping stones, waterfalls,
and lily pads.
Flowers and hummingbirds restore calm and wonder.
They pretend and creativity pours out.
