Little Hearts Impacted

Photobucket

Tomorrow we'll leave our two little girls for six days.
Do we hate to leave them?  In the biggest of ways.
Will we be sad?  Can hardly type just thinking of it.
Have we thought of all the possible not so great outcomes?  Yep.
Did we hesitate saying yes to this? Oh, yes.
Will that keep two parents from leaving their two girls?  No.

Why?
The positive impact on Sophia has already been significant, and with time, it will Claire as well.

~For two months Sophia's prayers have included the kids in Haiti.
~She added a favorite Barbie to our stack of donations.
~Yesterday she asked me if God loves the kids in Haiti.
~We've been reading and learning about a little country that most likely would never have been on her radar.
~A few weeks ago, I heard her suggest to Claire that they start coloring pictures for the kids in Haiti.  Since then, almost every colored picture is intended for Port au Prince.
~Many times, she has said things like, "I bet the kids in Haiti don't have....(toys, gummy candy, DVDs)"
~We have talked about kids not having mommas and daddies,
and how we are so blessed.

Far, far away there is a tiny, impoverished country called Haiti,
and she's aware of it.  And on her three year old level, she's already growing a heart for it.

So, it is off to Haiti we go.  Please follow along through our blog.

I love it that Barbie is going to Haiti! So sweet to imagine here in little hands far away.... Your girls will be (have been) blessed by this for sure!

I have been praying for as long as I have known you were going. I love the way you teach your girls and share the Lord's ministry with Mark. So many people I love are either going to or already in countries who need us, the body of Christ, to be there in His place doing His will. For all of you I pray. Oh, the tears seem to start when I think of you all.

So sorry we didn't meet up today but I know your day was crazy! I'm not sure what happened to mine..... but no worries I will hold on to all goodies and you will have them for the next trip. Praying for you safe travel, for peace in leaving home for a few short days, for your parents, for all that will be accomplished and provided. So happy to count you as my friend.
Love you all, Jennifer

So sweet. I just finished typing those two words and realized the post above says the same thing. I thought should I write something else? No, simple and to the point...and VERY, VERY TRUE. The post and the actions discussed is/are SO SWEET! Thinking of you all.
