How?

How do you prepare your heart for Haiti?
How do you prepare to leave behind all things "ME" ,
and focus only on "THEM"?

How do you look into the eyes
of a fourteen year old orphan
and give them hope?
Give them anything?
How can I possibly comprehend the trauma that
each of these children has known?
How can we connect?
How can I make a difference?
How can I survive the heat?
How can this be used in the hearts of our own two girls?
How can we BOTH travel away from our girls,
trusting for their safety?
How can I serve so far outside of my comfort zone?

How?
God.
He's big enough for all the hows.

Hey- I've been reading your blog, but my internet is a disaster (I wait a LONG time every time i click anything), so commenting is hard. I particularly LOVE reading your blog in the summer, because you all have so much fun. You are SO creative- I love all the stuff you expose your kiddos to (just wish I could see pictures- my internet won't load those either....EXTREMELY frustrating). But, oh well....this post puts that all in perspective!

Just wanted you to know I am praying for you and for Mark as you travel to Haiti! I'll be reading and following (if you are posting), but I will definitely be praying! May God use you in mighty ways for His glory and may you be forever changed as a result!!

Love,
Jenna

You and Mark will be blessings to all of those who you come into contact next week, and they will be a blessing to you. I will be praying for your safety, and your success in all you go.
