Again I have had the opportunity to review a book by one of our favorite authors, Max Lucado. His books read like you are gaining wisdom from an old friend with the most familiar of voices.
Written in Max's warm and simple style, this devotional both comforts and inspires. Through short, but direct, daily readings, we are reminded that God's loves is a steadfast, perfect, wise and merciful love. Finally, we are challenged with the notion that God loves us so that we can love others.
This book would make a wonderful gift or serve as an easy and encouraging way to begin daily quiet times. I would consider it "devotional light", meaning that each reading is intended to spur you on to dig deeper. Each reading is an excerpt from one of the many books from the wide collection of books that he has authored. Each also includes a scripture and a prayer.
I can't possibly fathom the love that our Heavenly Father loves us with. It is too deep and too wide. If only we could bath ourselves in this love. Never doubting, forgetting or wandering away from it.
Conduct your lives in love.
