Jump Right In, The Water is Fine

Photobucket
Sometimes life doesn't work out as planned.
Sometimes though the unplanned might just be best.
Last week, we had plan.
A group of swagger wagons loaded with coolers, towels and pumped up kids wearing water shoes met in a parking lot.
The problem?
A giant storm cloud was hanging right over our destination.
Solution?
Make new plan.
Photobucket
Lucky for us the new plan resulted in a playground with a lake view,
picnicking,
rock climbing,
Photobucket
hiding behind trees,
Photobucket
learning how to catch tiny frogs,
Photobucket
and then being in awe of the feel of them in your hands.
Photobucket
It involved showing off found treasures,
Photobucket
hanging with some BFFs,
Photobucket
and you got it...lake swimming.
Not wading mind you, but full scale
(push the limits of how far out momma will let you go)
swimming.
There was no messing around.
Jump right in, the water is fine.
Yep, those are real swimmers in the background.
Iron man practice kind of real.
Did I mention nobody was messing around?
Photobucket
Eventually, little water-logged bodies emerged from the lake,
wrapped themselves in towels,
and were off to our final destination.
Photobucket
With dry clothes and wet hair,
it was time to explore
the "house with the hole in it".
Photobucket
Finally, we tried to convince them that it was indeed time to go home.
They were not buying it.
Photobucket
They were mad I tell ya.  Real mad.
