Goodbye, Comfort Zone

We aren't comfort zone kind of people.
Don't be too impressed though.
We are neither brave nor strong at heart.
We simply apply, go, or say yes when we feel like God is
knocking at our hearts.

A couple months ago, the knocking came as a request.
We were asked to lead a trip to Haiti to care for orphans.
Did we say yes instantly without hesitation?
Not a chance.  With fear and trepidation we hemmed, hawed, and employed various stall-tactics.

It made no sense.  I had just been to Africa last year.  Mark travels all the time for work.  We just adopted.  Both parents shouldn't leave, right?  Support raising again?   Two inexperienced trip leaders?  We might sweat a little in Haiti...in August.

It made no sense, and was obviously outside of our own power.

Clearly it was a God thing.
So, we said yes.

What will we do?

Love.  Serve.  Love some more.
Who could resist those faces?

Several members of our team are first time mission trippers.
Our prayer is that they return home with this kind of thankful.
So grateful to walk that road with them.
