Last night I read and I cried.
With tears rolling off my cheeks, I caught up on posts by the Compassion bloggers currently travelling in the Philippines. Ther posts altered my perspective once again. Realigned it. Once you've seen poverty it alters you. Unfortunately, it is easy as time passes to move back to the middle.

One thing I love about blogging is finding new charities, and stories of helping others. Warms the heart!
I read all of these blogs, what a blessing that there are people willing to give of themselves to travel these places both to help those who are there, and to help us here by reminding us of our responsibilities in this world. And, I am blessed that one of those people reminding me is you!
Thank you for posting these.
I am such a huge fan of Compassion. Our relationship with our Compassion kids has been so amazing. One truly thinks of us as her parents. She writes us so many letters. It's so sweet. I think we wrote 17 last year! She wrote many in return. I also love how Compassion sponsors these bloggers so that not everyone has to travel to "see" the effects of poverty. i know this came up on Heather Hendrick's "short term missions" post. Rage Against the Minivan blogger Kristen pointed out that with all of the internet access to poverty, people don't have the same excuses to a. need to travel and b. turn a blind eye as they may have 20 years ago. Compassion is taking it above and beyond once again! can't wait to read these posts later when I have more time.
hugs from TX!
Yes, the posts were riveting! I also found a lot of great blogs to follow (like yours) through the comments of those posts!
