She's mastered it. Birthday cakes are her thing. Our birthday cakes pale in comparison to the works of birthday art that Aunt Jen creates for her littles. Elmo, a train, Dora. They dream it up, and she bakes it up.
The birthday girl wanted a butterfly cake to celebrate 6, so a butterfly she got.
With puffed out cheeks, these two sisters cousins helped us transition from a rendition of "Happy Birthday" into a cake tasting extravaganza.
And what was the verdict?
The birthday girl packed away two pieces within five minutes and could be found lurking around the cake pan, hoping for another.
The littlest deeply appreciated the sugary goodness.
Sometimes they used a spoon and sometimes fingers.
And our two cake lovers? They took the opportunity to demonstrate their level of appreciation by hamming it up for the camera.
Pink icing lips and all. Great job, Aunt Jen.
