Some days are obvious gifts. Our day in Orlando's Leu Gardens was one of those. We arrived in Florida tired from distraction and coming down from lots of travel for Mark. Parenting hadn't been coming easy. Life disconnected.
Then, we were handed a gift. A free trip to Orlando for an Army conference.
Sophia has been to "Disney House" before. Claire has the two year old squirmies. Mark had to work two of the days, and the parks were packed with spring breakers. So, we decided to reconnect minus the big theme parks.
The result? $7.00 bliss. Nature has a way of settling us, doesn't it?
We spent the day strolling under Live Oaks.
consulting our map and working together
holding beauty in our hands
counting the ways that He loves us
exploring like sisters should
discovering where oranges come from
listening to water fall
in awe of nature
holding out our fingers hoping for butterflies to land
investigating
being still
welcoming spring
dancing with fountains
$7.00 of bliss.
"Spring is a potlatch time in the natural world, a great giveaway of blossoming beyond all necessity and reason.
Done, it would appear, for no reason other than the sheer joy of it. Nature, rather than hoarding it, gives it all away." ~Parker Palmer, "Seasons"

These pictures are amazing! So beautiful. Looks like a wonderful day. I especially love the one with Sophia's hair in the air.
What a blessing to get away... your pics are beautiful and so are your sweet children!!! Bless you as you get back in the swing of being home. :)

Looks like a wonderful place, and I could almost guaranty that your girls were happier than they would have been if they spent the day at the big parks....
