Team kudos go to our family and close friends who gave $450 in contributions to the Half the Sky Foundation this past weekend in honor of Claire's 2nd birthday!
The Half the Sky Foundation made a tremendous impact on Claire's first 17 months of life. Thankfully, her orphanage, the Chidren's Welfare Institute of Chengdu City, is sponsored by this amazing foundation. Through their "Infant Nurture Program", Claire received special care. Due to the lower nanny to child ratio, she was blessed with extra attention while recovering from her cleft palate surgery in November of 2009. We are forever grateful to this amazing organization which has made an ongoing and lasting investment in the lives of the orphans of China.
We can think of no better way to celebrate Claire's first birthday home than to help those little ones who still wait for families. We are deeply grateful! Our team's kudos and love to you!
