Blankets, helping babies in need, potato soup with bacon and cheese, homemade vino, chocolate fondue and old friends. These were the ingredients for a fun "Covered with Love" party on Friday night.

Jennifer, Devon and I used to teach together several years ago. Recently, we discovered that we share a heart for orphans (and blog stalking!). We thought the perfect way to reconnect would be to host a blanket making party for Brighton Their World!
Devon and Jennifer invited their teaching team, but I enlisted the blanket making skills of Jess and Ashley to help out (and to bring some laughs).
I used to teach with these two sweet ladies and am so grateful!
While the rest of us made blankets, Devon and Jenna made a couple napkins for preemies! :)
The result of all the fun? 14 sweet and fuzzy blankets, a case of formula and a donation made to help babies in need.

Good for you guys!!
This is awesome!!! Jen
What a wonderful time with sweet friends!!!
I see a couple of my former teachers here! :) Looks like so much fun; wish I could have been there!
A couple of weeks ago I had the honor of delivering formula, blankets and baby caps for Brighton Their World and Covered with Love. I saw first hand the great need there is for all of us who call ourselves Christian to reach out and help the fatherless. Thank you for all you do and all you have done in the past. Now, I continue to pray for families to bring these babies home.

Thanks for including me. I really had a fun time spending time with old friends. I also enjoyed making blankets for sweet little babies to be held in. Emily, we missed you too! Maybe next time!
