Soul Candy

In our family, we welcome fall like an old friend.  It's like candy for the soul.   We decided to celebrate the return of October, with our annual trip to the mountains to visit our favorite pumpkin patch. 

We couldn't help but remember back to last year's visit to this same patch.  My how our girl has grown.  My how wonderful it is to get to chase

two girls through the pumpkins. 

 It did our hearts good to introduce Claire to the joys of a pumpkin patch.   We showed her how to run through the rows with a

giant smile,

 pose for the mammarazi who loves her some pumpkin patch photos,

 snuggle up with daddy,

 breath in the spicy smell of pumpkin pies, 

 enjoy pulling out comfy long sleeves to protect against the cool mountain air,

  stare in awe at the thousands of pumpkins of every size, shape and color,

 act a little silly,

 cheese up for even more photo-ops,

 take a hay ride,  

explore textures,

 

 make a not so successful attempt at a family photo

(apparently the girls didn't get the memo),

 walk through the covered bridge,

 and giggle at each other.
