We failed to post when we hit 38 months waiting for Claire. It is important to us to mark some sort of milestones. When she reads this someday, we'll hope Claire sees that we thought of her and loved MANY months before she officially joined our family. On another note, many of you asked about our medical conditions checklist. We filed this with our agency back in May. This stated that we were open to children with special needs as well. Honestly, the conditions that we were open to are very conservative (cleft lip/palate, minor heart conditions, etc.). We are STILL just trusting God to bring Claire home, whenever and however. Whoever she is will be just who she is supposed to be. Our agency's current special needs wait time is 18 months. We know all to well though that we have to let go of timetables.

We are right there with you, every step of the way...no matter how long it takes!

I used to read your blog and think..."We are so close in time, only 5 months apart." Now I read yours and realize we could be easily waiting 1-2 years longer than your family, with that same 5 month difference. The waiting for us adults is not that hard, but our first daughter has been waiting a lifetime (literally)
