Christmas Recap

Sophs first words on Christmas Eve were "Santa eat his cookies?" She was quite pleased to discover that he had downed the milk and cookies.
Santa kept things wonderfully simple, but left some fun toys for our girl to find on Christmas morning. The tent from Santa was a big hit. We spent the morning in it playing and reading.
The nativity set that we bought at the beginning of advent continued to be the go-to toy of the season. Our girl definitely understood that Christmas was about much more than gifts and Santa.
Later, Uncle Steven joined in for some shakin' with Soph's new maracas. After a day of playing and feasting, we headed over to Janie, Steven and Madeline's abode for some desserts and some competitive matches on the Wii. Mark and Papaw prepare for a fierce bowling match. Janie chilled out during the crazy gaming.
Poor Mark ended the day in tears. His "can't be beaten" on the Wii record was shattered by his father-in-law and 8 year old niece.

What a fun Christmas, and great photos. I like that your daughter is still interested in the nativity set too.

Madeline loved a tent that she had - so much that she completely wore it out! Love the train set and doll house that Sophia got, she'll play with them for a long time to come I'm sure.

Plus, wonderful memories, and Mark was a good sport about getting beaten too :-)

I had to tell you, I recognize that dish with the Santa cookies...that was our "everyday" china that we had when we were first married :)
