Creek Fun, Part Two

We had some more outdoor fun this week. Our friend Jessica invited us to her parents' cabin in the mountains. Not ones to say no to the mountains, we loaded up the Kelty and the coolers and hit the road. Carolyn and her kiddos joined us for a great day.

(For the kiddo's privacy sake, you'll only find photos of our little explorer.)
We started our day with a little walk.
After a great lunch back at the cabin, we donned old bathing suits and headed down to a nearby creek for some more outdoor fun.
(Yes, I have learned to spell "creek" in honor of this post.)

We pointed out fish and floating leaves.
We walked in the water.
We plunged our hands into the cool water to check out the things on the bottom of the creek.
We found lots of interesting rocks.
Of course, after the rocks were found, they had to be hurled back into the water.
At the end of the day, we were dirty, soggy, hungry and tired. All signs of fun times. Thanks, friends!

crystal waters of the mountains…”
