Special thanks to the troop greeters in Bangor, Maine who are shown in this clip and in this story. These men and women are veterans who greet deploying/returning Service Members at any time of the day or night. They greeted Mark at 12AM leaving in April and 3:00AM returning in November.

May God bless ALL of those who serve or have served their country. We thank you.
I especially thought of Mark today (It's called Remembrance Day, here in Canada, but it's similar to your Veteran's Day) while I talked about war and the sacrifices made in war with the children. It was our history lesson today. I hope they carry it with them for life.
God bless your family, Rebecca. You are very special people.
Thank you to your husband for the service he provides to this country!
I've seen a story about these greeters - what a great service they provide!
I posted the same link on my blog! I love that story! What an awesome thing they do for our troops! Hope you had a wonderful Veteran's Day and please thank Mark again for his service!
Blessings,

My deep gratitude to Mark for his selfless service to our country....to my family. And to you, Rebecca, for allowing him to serve. I lovethe photo below of meeting him at the airport where Sophia is pointing at him with a huge smile on her face!
I love that photo you chose! It made me teary-eyed!! And what an amazing group of people that come out any time of day or night to welcome the troops home!!! AWESOME!
I'm always reminded on Veteran's Day of how overlooked our veterans are. Especially the elderly. People are so impatient with them and don't show them the respect & honor they deserve!!
(Stepping off my soapbox)

I feel like such a goof because the video clip made me cry!!! I wish I lived in Maine so I could greet them too. What a wonderful thing they are doing and how awesome it must feel for those who return. Thanks for sharing that.
I would love to be able to go and thank those who have served. It is heartwarming to see and know that people do care and find a way like this to show it!
