We just got back from a week with the family in Ocean City, Maryland. It was big, crazy fun. The peanut got to meet her Aunts and Uncles: Jenn, Randy, Jaime and Ryan, and her cousins: Austin, Jordan, Alexis, Macie and Robert. We missed Courtney, who is jet-setting in Paris. (Insert raging travel envy here.)
We had great weather and enjoyed long days on the beach and at the pool. We ate seafood, took lots of naps, danced the "Locamotion", took early morning walks on the beach and dipped our toes in the cold ocean water.
Sophs had BIG fun and couldn't get enough of everything. It was as if she thrived on having so much family around and being out seeing new things. She giggled, crawled, climbed, waved at airplanes, ate sand, played in her pool, floated in her float, learned to pick her nose and spit (Thanks to Aunt Jenn C.! Kidding!) and played "patty cake" with Grandpa.

Travel with a little one is EXHAUSTING, non-stop and totally different. There were no magazine readings, plane ride snoozes or leisurely sleeping in. Instead, we got up early, played, explored, napped and played some more. Flying with a monkey (Oops, I meant 9 month old) is quite a challenge. It is quite humbling to walk through an airport completely covered with spit-up while your overtired, teething baby has a meltdown. (Thanks to Tylenol, the meltdown passed and Sophia snoozed through the flight home. Whew....) Other than the one meltdown, we were completely proud of The Nut. She soaked in the whole beach and flying experience like a champ.
Thanks to everyone for a great time. We had a blast!
