Memorial Day Thoughts

"Do not mourn that such men died, but thank God that such men lived."
~General George S. Patton

Memorial Day is a day bigger than burgers, chips and lemonade. It is a time to remember the sacrifice of soldiers throughout our nation's history. Today we remember, and are grateful. More than that though, we are called to action.
So what can we do to honor those who serve and have served?

We can never be thankful enough for the men and women who have served and who continue to serve our country. I pray God's blessings on each of them and their families.

My thoughts and prayers went out to all of our "guys" today. I thought much about their sacrifice and those of their families. Praying that you and Sophia are doing well.

Thank you for posting that quote by Patton...

Also thanks for your comment on my blog and for sharing yours. Sophia is a beauty! I saw that you are LID Oct '06...we are Aug '06. Much waiting lies ahead of us...but the changes God will make in us during that time will be beautiful....and will prepare us to be the mamas He is calling us to be for these babies. Difficult...but also glorious!
