The Annual "24" Marathon

Hold the gift wrapping, stocking hanging, and tree decorating... the annual "24" marathon has begun. If we don't post for awhile, don't comment on your blog, don't answer our phones or attend your Christmas party, don't take it personally. Just know that it's because we are watching Jack Bauer hunt down terrorists and save the day once again.

Let me take a moment to explain... We decided long ago that attempting to watch "24" during it's original airing each week is crazy. We would without doubt go totally insane. Our minds and hearts race at the end of each episode as we try to figure out what's going to happen next. About 4-years ago, we decided to hold off on watching "24" until it came out on DVD (4 intense hours on each disc, without commercial interruptions). It just so happens that the previous season comes out on DVD just in time for Christmas (and as luck would have it, just in time for our Christmas break).

For the next couple of weeks, our house will be filled with a combination of Christmas tunes, Jack shouting instructions, and the easily distinguished sound of the CTU phones ringing.
We're currently 4-hours into the most recent season, and Jack has already returned from prison, escaped from an evil terrorist, saved a subway full of Americans, and witnessed a nuclear explosion...

You two are too crazy. Sounds like a brilliant idea though. Have fun watching without interruptions.

We are right there along with you. My husband refuses - I mean Refused to watch it during the regular season. My fil would call every week afterwards and try to tell Matt what happened. So our 24 Marathon started the other night... Have a Great weekend and GO JACK GO!!

Oh - every season on DVD is part of my husband's Christmas!!

Have a great weekend...
